IS THE INTERNSHIP PAID?

Yes, all interns will receive a weekly stipend of $250 to help with the costs of living.

WHAT IS THE LENGTH OF THE INTERNSHIP?

 The internship will last 10 weeks (Dates for 2020 to be determined). At the end of the 10 weeks there will be an evaluation and exit interview to determine whether an opportunity to extend the internship exists, if there is an opportunity for the intern to work within the organization, or if there is an opportunity for the intern to work at another partner church.

WILL I RECEIVE HOUSING?

Harvest will provide housing for all interns in need of it.

WILL MY SPOUSE BE INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM?

We desire that you and your spouse participate in this experience together. Therefore, your spouse is invited but not required to be a part of the experience.
 

HOW MANY HOURS DOES AN INTERN WORK WEEKLY?

Interns will work on average 32 hours a week plus serving on the weekend, depending on the area of ministry the intern is working in. (Camp Staff schedule will be more sporadic and flexible due to the nature of running the camp)

WHAT IS THE EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION FOR HARVEST INTERNS? 

By the nature of the short-term assignment, Harvest interns are classified as Independent Contractors. This means that each intern receives a 1099 form at the beginning of the following calendar year for tax purposes and that health insurance is the responsibility of each intern. Workman’s Compensation benefits do not apply to Harvest interns.

DO I NEED A CAR?

Yes. Regular travel is expected for the internship.

HOW CAN I GET COLLEGE CREDIT?

If your college or university offers internship opportunities, we will work directly with your counselors and/or professors to ensure you meet all the necessary requirements.

WHEN WILL I HEAR FROM SOMEONE ABOUT MY APPLICATION?

You will receive a confirmation email upon submitting your application. Due to the number of applications received we will only contact applicants we choose to interview.

ARE INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS ELIGIBLE?

Yes, other documentation may be needed should you apply.
